Ritz’s homer delivers win
WRIGHT TWP. — George Ritz’s three-run homer in the fourth inning provided the difference for Mountain Post as it knocked off Tunkhannock 4-2 in a Wyoming Valley American Legion League game on Thursday.
Derik Ermish picked up the win on the mound, going all seven innings and striking out five.
Gorman lead Plains over WB
WILKES-BARRE – Backed by strong pitching from Corey Gorman, who tossed a three-hit shutout, Plains defeated Wilkes-Barre 2-0 on Monday in a Wyoming Valley American Legion League game.

DALLAS TWP. — A fun way to end your high school career is being honored as an all-star. That was the honor for the Wyoming Valley Conference girls softball players, taking a part in the Robert L. Dolbear Senior Girls All-Star Softball Game. The clash between East versus West and finished up with East winning 14-6.
Greater Pittston gets past Plains
PLAINS TWP.—Ken Sorick had three RBI and Kyle Borino added two RBI to lead Greater Pittston to an 11-7 victory over Plains in American Legion action.
