Royals take champs to limit before falling in semis

YORK — The Holy Redeemer girls volleyball team’s historic season ended in the PIAA Class 2A girls semifinals on Saturday.

After becoming the first District 2 squad to reach the final four on Friday, the Royals fell short in their title bid when they lost a five-game marathon to defending state champion Merion Mercy at Central York High School.
