The Wilkes University Small Business Development Center will hold a training session for business owners and employers titled Navigating the New Health Care Benefit Requirements.
Eric Pochas, director of client services at Vantagen LLC will offer information for businesses regarding their obligations under the Affordable Care Act and will give an update on obtaining appropriate insurance through the health care exchanges. Vantagen is an affiliate company of ParenteBeard, dedicated to human resources consulting and administration services.
The training will take place on Wednesday in the Northeastern Pennsylvania Industrial Resource Center training room, 75 Young Street, Hanover Township. This session will be conducted from 1 1:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will cost $10 per person. Lunch will be provided.

The Northeast Pennsylvania Manufacturers and Employers Association will hold a legislative roundtable from 8 to 10 a.m. on Friday at the Pottsville Club.
This roundtable will provide an opportunity for area manufacturing sector employers to share issues and concerns with local legislators. Topics up for discussion include workforce development, energy enhancements, right to work, transportation infrastructure, legal reform, and tax reform.
