Arrest warrant issued in Movies 14 armed robbery

WILKES-BARRE ?? City police have issued an arrest warrant for the man they believe is responsible for an armed robbery at Wilkes-Barre Movies 14 on Sunday evening.


According to court records and a press release issued by the Wilkes-Barre Police Department, Sean Patrick Flavin, 33, no known address, is wanted after he allegedly pointed a small handgun at an employee of the movie theater at about 10:30 p.m. on Aug. 19 as the person was exiting the box office.


Flavin allegedly grabbed a bank bag from the employee and fled from the theater on foot.


Flavin??s current whereabouts are unknown, but police believe he fled the area based on information they have received since the incident.


He faces charges of robbery, theft by unlawful taking, simple assault, and a firearms charge.


He is described as a 5??9? white male weighing approximately 150 pounds.
