Blue Knights win big in NHSCA

VIRGINIA BEACH, VIRGINIA – Wyoming Seminary wrestling competed in the NHSCA Final Four Festival on Saturday.


The Blue Knights victories included a 64-0 win over East Stroudsburg Area, 53-25 win over Depaul Catholic High, a 52-20 win against Neshaminy, and a 61-6 win over Springsfield Central.


Meyers 38, Hanover Area 36

Justin Elick (132) and Johntae Nelson (152) both scored pinfall victories to lead Meyers to a close victory.


Zack Meckes (106), Matt Monahan (182) and Kaine Rimmer (220) each scored victories for Hanover Area.

Two D2 players tabbed

Two Lackawanna League players were named to the Pennsylvania Big 33 team, which will play in the annual summer classic in June.


Scranton wide receiver Karlon Quiller and Abington Heights tight end Simon Patrick Williams were named to the Big 33 squad.
