Bolesta, Pientka

Jillian Bolesta and Donald Pientka, together with their families, announce their engagement and approaching marriage. The couple became engaged in February 2009 in Atlantic City.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Reinhard and Patricia Bolesta, Sugar Notch. She is the granddaughter of the late Elizabeth and Marion Bolesta, Plymouth, and Eleanor Rebarchik and the late Frank Rebarchik, Luzerne.

The prospective groom is the son of Daniel Pientka Jr., Bear Creek, and Carin Pientka, Wilkes-Barre. He is the grandson of Eleanor Pientka and the late Daniel Pientka, Plains Township.

Jillian is a 2002 graduate of Hanover Area Jr.-Sr. High School and earned her bachelor's degree in English at Lycoming College in 2006. She earned a master's degree and certification in instructional technology from Wilkes University in 2010 and is pursuing her principal certification. She is employed as a high school English teacher and assistant girls volleyball and softball coach with the Hanover Area School District.

Donald is a 2000 graduate of GAR High School and earned his associate's degree in science education from Luzerne County Community College in 2004 and his bachelor's degree in elementary education at Bloomsburg University in 2010. He is employed by Olive Garden.

The couple will exchange vows on June 28, 2013, at the Sand Springs Country Club, Drums.
