Braithwire canā??t save Lady Lions from another loss

SUMMERDALE- Tiara Braithwire scored 19 points to lead the Penn State Wilkes-Barre women's basketball team in its 66-57 loss to Central Penn College Monday.


Tiffany Denny added 17 points for the Lady Lions.


Jasmine Robinson led Central Penn with 31 points.


Women's Basketball
Broome CC 67, PSU Wilkes-Barre 62

Jalicia Robinson led Penn State Wilkes-Barre with 20 points and seven rebounds but the Lady Lions lost in overtime in a game played Friday.


Jenn Celiberti scored 12 points and pulled down 17 rebounds for Broome.


Football
Wilkes

Wilkes University honored head football coach Frank Sheptock for his 100th career win before the Colonels victory over King's on Saturday in the Mayor's Cup.


Sheptock earned his 100th victory in Wilkes' win over FDU-Florham Sept. 29.


Sheptock is the all-time leader in wins at Wilkes with a career 103-75 record in 17 seasons.


Field Hockey
King's

Graduate of Holy Redeemer High School and King's College senior Calli Berryman earned a spot in the 2012 National Field Hockey Coaches Association Senior All-Star Game, which will be played Saturday at 4 p.m.at William Smith College in Geneva, N.Y.


Berryman's selection makes her the third field hockey player who will play in the game.


Berryman recorded 44 points this season on 19 goals and six assists.


Men's Soccer
Misericordia

Misericordia soccer player Andy Bush earned CoSida District 4 All-Academic honors by maintaining a 3.56 GPA as an accounting major.


Bush was also named Freedom Conference Player of the Year recording 33 points on 15 goals and three assists.


Bush also became Misericordia's all-time leader this season in goals with 45 and points with 111.


Women's Soccer
Misericordia

Misericordia senior forward Laura Roney earned CoSida District 4 All-Academic honors by maintaining a 3.89 GPA as a physical therapy major.


Roney ranks second on the team in scoring with 37 points on 13 goals and a team-high 11 assists.


Roney also ranks fourth in career points with 101 and second in career assists with 33.
