Alyssa Bria and Daniel Donovan were united in marriage on Sept. 29, 2012, at St. Mary’s Church of the Immaculate Conception, Wilkes-Barre, with the Rev. William Donovan, uncle of the groom, officiating. The bride is the daughter of Frank Bria, Wilkes-Barre, and the late Regina Bria. The groom is the son of Joseph and Anne Donovan, Marlton, N.J. The bride was given in marriage by her father. She chose her sister, Rebecca Bria, as the maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Megan Donovan and Elizabeth Donovan, sisters of the groom, and Rebecca Donovan, sister-in-law of the groom. The groom chose his brother, James Donovan, as the best man. The groomsmen were Domenic Crocetti, Matthew Merkowsky and Justin Astrin, friends of the groom. Readings were given by JoAnn Mleczynski, cousin of the bride, and Kathleen Roddy, cousin of the groom. Gifts were presented by Frank L. Bria, brother of the bride, and Henry Mleczynski, cousin of the bride. The altar servers were Michael and Colin Conway, cousins of the bride. An evening cocktail hour and reception were held at the Genetti Hotel and Conference Center, Wilkes-Barre. The rehearsal dinner was held at The Café, Plains Township. The bride was honored with a bridal shower at Bentley’s, Ashley, by the family of the bride, and with another shower given by the family of the groom in Marlton, N.J. The bride is a 2006 graduate of James M. Coughlin High School. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in accounting in 2010 from King’s College. She is employed by Advanced Benefit Concepts, Cherry Hill, N.J. The groom is a 2006 graduate of Holy Cross High School, Delran, N.J. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in finance in 2010 from King’s College and is pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree at Rowan University. He is employed by Independence Blue Cross in Philadelphia, Pa. The couple traveled to Montego Bay, Jamaica, for their honeymoon. They reside in Voorhees, N.J.
