CAMPS/CLINICS


 



Wilkes University will hold a Colonels Elite Baseball Prospect Program Nov. 18, Dec. 16, Feb. 23 and May 12 from 6 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. at the Marts Center for students with graduating years from 2013-2016. Individual sessions cost $40 while all four sessions cost $150. For more information, call Vince Scalzo at 408-4777.



Wilkes University
Strength and Conditioning Winter Speed and Agility Camp. For ages 10-18, boys and girls. The camp runs Tuesdays and Fridays, starting December 11 and runs until January 11. Sessions will be between 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the University Center on Main. For more information, send e-mails to [email protected].

Hanover Area Youth Basketball registration for boys and girls grades 3-6 who reside in Hanover will be held Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. and Nov. 10 at noon at Memorial Elementary. The cost is $35. Kingston Recreational Center will hold its Tommy Federici Memorial Sunday and Wednesday adult men's basketball leagues starting Nov. 11 and Nov. 14. Players over the age of 17 can register for each league from Sept. 26 to Nov. 11 when the Kingston Recreational Center is open. The desk attendant does the registration. Kill 3/Run again Nov. 5



Kingston Recreational Center Indoor Soccer Leagues will begin Dec. 1. Players from ages 4-13 can register for the leagues up until Nov. 4 when the Kingston Recreational Center is open. Willie Obremski Youth Basketball League will hold drafts starting Nov. 16 for ages 5-18 at the Kingston Recreational Center. Players can register any time when the building is open. The draft for ages 5-7 will be held Nov. 16 at 5:30 p.m. The draft for ages 8-10 will be held Nov. 16 at 7:30 p.m. The draft for ages 11-13 will be held Nov. 19 at 5:30 p.m. The draft for ages 14-18 will be held Nov. 19 at 7:30 p.m. Practice begins Nov. 27 at 5:30 p.m., and the league starts Dec. 10 at 5:30 p.m. Parents are asked to attend the drafts. MEETINGS


 



Berwick Boys Basketball Boosters will meet Monday in the lobby of the gymnasium. The meeting will start at 7 p.m. and will be about the upcoming season. If there are any questions, contact coach Jason Kingery at 394-7115.


 



REGISTRATIONS/TRYOUTS


 



JCC is now taking registrations for the Northampton Street Basketball League. Games will be played on Sundays starting Nov. 4. There will be two divisions for ages 8-10, and 11-13. The cost is $65 per player, with each sibling at $50. Team registrations will be $300.There will also be a skills clinic for ages 5-7. WB Express AAU will hold tryouts for its Spring 2013 AAU teams Nov. 7 and 8 at the Wyoming Seminary Upper School, Maple Ave, Kingston. Dallas Soccer Booster Club invites all alumni soccer players for the Annual Alumni Game to be held Nov. 24 at Cleary Field in Dallas against the 2012 soccer team. The game starts at 11 a.m. No RSVP needed. Refreshments will be served. Kill 3, Run Nov 21



Hanover Area Boys Basketball Booster Club will hold an adult fundraiser at Screwballs in Hanover Township on Nov. 3 from 6 to 9 p.m.



Nanticoke Area Little League will be hosting a spaghetti dinner from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, November 3rd at St. Mary's Dining Hall located on Hanover Street in Nanticoke. The cost is $8.00 in advance, $9.00 at the door and includes dinner, salad and dessert. Dine in and take out available. For tickets contact Mike at 313-5600 or Kim at 735-0189.



National Association of Letter Carriers will sponsor its Bowl-a-Thon for Muscular Dystrophy Sunday at Chacko's Family Bowling Center from 3-5 p.m. The cost is $25 per adult and $15 for kids under 10. Teams will consist of five players and individual bowlers are welcome. Cash prizes will be given out to top-three teams and prizes for top male and female bowlers. Plains Soccer Association is sponsoring the third annual Kim Skiro Soccer Tour, which is scheduled for Saturday. The money raised goes towards scholarships for high school seniors who have previously played in the Wyoming Valley Soccer Association and are planning to attend college. Wyoming Valley CYC Aquatics Department welcomes 2012 Olympic Gold medalist Matt Grevers and USA Swimming National Team member Annie Chandler on Nov. 17 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. for a swim clinic for ages 8 to 18. This event is a fundraiser for the CYC Aquatics Center. All participants will receive instruction and pool time with Matt and Annie, photos, autographs, and more. Spots are limited.
