Lackawanna College Baseball, along with the Graham Academy, will conduct its fourth annual free baseball clinic for the autism and special needs community, ages five through seventeen. This event is on Saturday, Feb. 2 at the Graham Academy's Luzerne Campus, 469 Miller Street, Luzerne. It will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The clinic consists of pitching drills, a home run derby and other skill and fun happenings. The emphasis is on providing a fun and exciting experience for all involved. A free lunch with the players will be provided for the attendees by the Academy with the generous support from Abe's Hot Dogs. Wilkes Softball Team will host its 13th annual Mid-Winter Softball Camp Feb. 3, 10, 17, and 24. The camp will run from 9 a.m. until noon each day. Pitching will begin at 9 a.m., hitting at 10 a.m. and fielding at 11 a.m. The camp will be held in the University Center on Main (UCOM) building on Main Street and the Marts Center (gym) on Franklin Street. Checkerboard Inn Golf League will meet Monday, Feb. 4, at 7 p.m. at the Checkerboard Inn in Trucksville. Plans and dates for the upcoming season will be discussed and dues will be collected. Crestwood Boys Basketball Booster Club will meet at 7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 4, at Cavanaugh's Grille.

Crestwood Football Booster Club will have a meeting Thursday, Feb. 21 at 7 p.m. at Tony's Pizza.

Crestwood Track and Field Booster Club will meet Tuesday, Feb. 5 at 6:30 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. Any parent of a track and field athlete is encouraged to attend the meeting as plans for the upcoming season will be discussed. Wyoming Area Baseball Coaches will hold a mandatory meeting for all parents of 7th, 8th, and 9th grade baseball players. It will be held on Monday, Feb. 4 at 6 p.m. in Room 129 of the Secondary Center. Coaches will be going over plans for the upcoming season.

Wyoming Valley Chapter of PIAA Baseball Officials will meet Feb. 17 at 6:30 p.m. The chapter will hold its first meeting of the 2013 season, in room 106 of Breiseth Hall on the Wilkes University campus. This meeting is held in preparation for the upcoming season.

Wyoming Valley West Spartan Baseball Booster Club will have a meeting Monday, Feb. 4 at 7 p.m. at Keeley's Pub located at 199 Division St., Kingston. Parents of all players are encouraged to attend.

County Line Girls Softball League is looking for any team/town/organization to join a girls fastpitch recreational league. County Line is a friendly, minimal travel league that is comprised of teams from Dupont, Taylor, North Scranton and Minooka. Age groups are 8u to 17u. Greater Pittston Stoners Youth Soccer registration dates are Thursday, Feb. 21 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, March 5 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday, March 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. for all players U10 and above. Jenkins Township Little League will hold a final sign up registration on Sunday, Feb. 10 from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Jenkins Township Municipal Building. Anyone wishing to sign up after that date will be charged a late registration fee of $10.Please bring a copy of the Birth Certificate, 3 proofs of residence from February 2012 or later and the forms which can be found on www.jenkinstwplittleleague.com. Kingston/ Forty Fort Little League will hold a second registration for all baseball and softball divisions on Wednesday, Feb. 6 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Kingston VFW on Wyoming Avenue. A copy of a birth certificate for all new players and copies of three proofs of residency dated between Feb. 1, 2012 and Jan. 31. 2013 are required. Maximum Impact Sports Training is now scheduling evaluations for Summer Softball Travel teams. Ages 10U, 12U are accepting tryouts and there are two spots available for 16U. All those interested must try out. Please call 822-1134 to schedule private appointment.

Swoyersville Little League baseball and softball registrations will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:15 p.m., Feb. 7 at the Swoyersville borough building. Any boy or girl, ages 4 to 16, living in Swoyersville is eligible. New players need a copy of their birth certificate and all players need three proof of residency copies dated or in effect from Feb. 1, 2012 to Feb. 1, 2013. Swoyersville Slow Pitch Girls Softball will hold sign-ups every Tuesday and Saturday through February and March, Tuesday sign ups are from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday signups are from 9 a.m. to noon. All signups will be at the softball field on Tripp Street. The league is for those ages seven and up and costs $45 per child and $10 for each additional child. KRW Foundation will have its second annual Party with the Pros today from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Electric City Trolley Museum.
