Carmen M. (Cita) Niemir, 63, of Albrightsville, passed away Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.


She was born Jan. 13, 1950, in Santruce, Puerto Rico, a daughter of the late Luis A. and Helga K. Sigwart Munoz. She was a graduate of the Wood Secretarial Institute in New York and was employed by the law firm of Rosenn, Jenkins and Greenwald, Wilkes-Barre. Carmen was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church in Lake Harmony.


She has been preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Paul Richard Niemir, in 2006.


Surviving are a brother, Louis A. Munoz and his wife, Dorcas, New York.



Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Nat & Gawlas Funeral Home, 89 Park Ave., Wilkes-Barre, with the Rev. James E. McGahagan officiating. Interment will be in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
