WASHINGTON, DC - U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) today announced that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) under the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has awarded $24,596 in grants to Forest City Area Emergency Services for operations and safety.
“Pennsylvania’s first responders endure risk and sacrifice every day to keep their community safe,” said Senator Casey. “This money will help provide Forest City’s first responders with the resources they need to ensure their safety and the safety of those they serve.”
Funds are awarded through the Assistance to Firefighters Grant program (AFG), which aims to strengthen the health and safety of the nation’s first responders and those they serve.
