(AP) Chevron's Argentina subsidiary has taken out full-page ads in the nation's leading newspapers to complain about a court order freezing its assets in the country, saying it has made operations difficult for the company.

The judge acted on behalf of plaintiffs trying to collect a $19 billion judgment they won over oil spills in Ecuador.

Chevron calls the judgment fraudulent, and is trying to persuade the courts in Buenos Aires to lift the embargo, which it says is having negative impacts on the country, the government, the company, and the energy future of Argentina.
