Local author Jeannine M. Luby will read aloud her children's book Wartz And All Jan. 23 at 4 p.m. at the Abington Community Library at 1200 West Grove St. in Clarks Summit.
Wartz And All is the story of a frog named Wartz who likes to hop along the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail with his forest friends. The book is recommended for children ages 4 to 8. Copies of Wartz And All will be available for sale for $7.99 with $2 from each sale going to the library. Buy a copy or to donate to a child in need. Luby recently teamed with three organizations who serve children in crisis and/or economic need to put books in the hands of the children they serve. If you purchase a book to donate, you can include a personalized note inside and designate donation to one of the following organizations: the Women's Resource Center, the United Neighborhood Centers or the Children's Advocacy Center: an Abuse Intervention Center.Snow date is Jan. 24 at 4 p.m.
