WILKES-BARRE â?? City police are investigating a shooting that occurred just after 1 p.m. on Empire Street near Coal Street.

Police believe a black male wearing a puffy jacket fired several rounds in the area of 128 Empire Street and ran into the Sherman Hills Apartment complex.

It is unknown if anyone has been injured in the shooting.

Police detained two suspects on Abbott Street about a half hour after the shooting.
