Colonelsâ?? offense quiet as Wilkes is beaten by DelVal

DOYLESTOWN – Host Delaware Valley defeated Wilkes 23-7 Saturday afternoon in Middle Atlantic Conference play from James Work Memorial Stadium.

Wilkes' only score came in the fourth quarter when freshman cornerback Marcus Leaf returned an interception 68 yards for a touchdown.

Offensively, the Colonels (4-5 overall, 3-5 MAC) only had 185 total yards to the Aggies 319. Wilkes was 9-of-28 passing with three interceptions and just 78 yards in the air.

Wilkes concludes its regular season slate next Saturday hosting cross-town rival King's in the 17th annual Mayor's Cup scheduled for noon at Schmidt Stadium.
