HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Gov. Tom Corbett is revealing more details about the kind of fee he wants to impose on Pennsylvania's booming natural gas industry to pay for regulating it and for the damage it causes.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reported Thursday that Corbett told a radio interviewer (http://bit.ly/oaLAEU) that revenue from an impact fee should be used primarily to compensate drilling communities for the negative impacts, such as road and bridge damage from heavy truck traffic.

Corbett says he'll be unveiling a proposal within a week or two. In it, money from the impact fee primarily would go to the counties to work with municipalities, but some would also go to the state to be used for environmental cleanups.

Corbett was speaking on Talk Radio 1210 WPHT in Philadelphia.
