Corbett to reveal roads plan, budget next month

HARRISBURG — Gov. Tom Corbett now says he'll announce a transportation funding plan next month, after his administration initially told lawmakers it would be rolled out today.

Corbett told The Philadelphia Inquirer editorial board Wednesday he would unveil it Feb. 5, along with his budget plan.

People familiar with the plan told AP its centerpiece was raising nearly $2 billion a year by increasing taxes on the fuel sold to gas stations.
