Cougars own relays in triumph over Tigers

TUNKHANNOCK -- Hazleton Area swept the relay events en route to a 101-68 victory over Tunkhannock.


Hailey Kendall, Morgan O'Hara, Alexandra Podlesny and Felicia Grego recorded an individual victory apiece for Hazleton Area.


Morgan Manglaviti set team records in the 200 IM and 100 fly for Tunkhannock.

Hanover Area 126, Holy Cross 33

Kayla Keating finished first in the 50 free and 100 breast to lead Hanover Area to a victory over Holy Cross.


Hanover Area also swept the relay events in the victory.

Tiffany Smith, Mia Nardone and Kassity Roche each recorded two individual victories in Pittston Area's win over Nanticoke on Wednesday.


Sarah Carne won the 100 back for Nanticoke, while Constance Medura finished first in the 100 breast.

Abington Heights 91, Holy Redeemer 91

Abington Heights and Holy Redeemer couldn't produce a winner as the two teams swam to a stalemate at Abington.


Juley Ann Mahle, Bethany Chmil, Rachel Finnegan and Melissa Cruz combined to win the 200 medley and 200 free relay. Mahle added wins in the 200 IM and 100 back, while Rachel Smertz added wins in the 50 and 500 free.

Hazleton Area also swept the relay events in the victory.


Ben Spencer recorded the Tigers' only victory, finishing first in the 100 fly.

Brandon Winters finished first in two individual events to lead Pittston Area to a victory over Nanticoke on Wednesday.


Adam Ferrucci won the 100 free to lead Nanticoke.
