Cougars ready for 2 showdowns

DALLAS -- The Misericordia University men's and women's basketball teams will look to remain unbeaten in Freedom Conference action when they host FDU-Florham this afternoon at the Anderson Center.


The women's game is set for 1 p.m. with first place on the line and the men's game is set for immediately after.


The Misericordia women are 7-4 overall and 3-0 in conference play while the men are 7-7 overall and 3-0 in the conference. The Lady Devils have a conference mark of 3-0, while the men's team is 2-1.


COLLEGE WRESTLING Delaware Valley 38, King's 7

The King's College wrestling team lost to Delaware Valley in Metropolitan Conference action Friday night at Scandlon Gymnasium.


Tommy DeSir scored a major decision for the Monarchs at 165 winning 15-6 while Peter Dwyer earned a 2-0 decision at 285.


King's will host Scranton on Tuesday.


Berwick grad Aaron Karns picked up a pin at 197 for the No. 22 ranked Aggies.
