WILKES-BARRE – A Luzerne County jury on Tuesday found Scott J. Hadsall, 22, of Harveys Lake, not guilty of sexually assaulting a girl, but found him guilty of corrupting her morals.

The jury deliberated for more than two hours in finding Hadsall not guilty of aggravated indecent assault, but guilty of corruption of minors.

Harveys Lake police said Hadsall in November 2006 fondled the girl inside an Orchard Street home.

Assistant District Attorney Jenny Roberts prosecuted the case. Attorneys Vincent Cappellini and Joseph Yeager defended Hadsall.

Court of Common Pleas Judge Peter Paul Olszewski Jr. will sentence Hadsall in December.

WILKES-BARRE – Barrett Robinson, 44, of South Franklin Street in Wilkes-Barre, was sentenced Monday to five to 10 years in state prison on a drug charge.

Luzerne County Court of Common Pleas Judge Peter Paul Olszewski Jr. sentenced Robinson on a single count of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.

Wilkes-Barre police said they found crack cocaine packed for selling inside Robinson’s residence in January.

WILKES-BARRE – James Bond, 35, of South Welles Street in Wilkes-Barre, was sentenced to nine to 18 years in state prison for a carjacking.

Luzerne County Court of Common Pleas Judge Michael Toole sentenced Bond on charges of robbery of a motor vehicle and a firearms offense.

Wilkes-Barre police said Bond in October 2005 had a handgun when he approached a woman on Hill Street and stole her vehicle.

WILKES-BARRE – Two people will face charges in Luzerne County Court in connection with a disturbance outside an Edwardsville bar that involved police officers.

Jennifer Mosher, 24, of South Franklin Street, Wilkes-Barre, waived charges of simple assault and resisting arrest during a preliminary hearing in Central Court on Wednesday. Prosecutors dismissed three counts of simple assault, two counts of disorderly conduct and a single count of resisting arrest against Mosher.

Robert Malone, 34, of Pulaski Street, Kingston, waived charges of disorderly conduct, harassment and public drunkenness during the preliminary hearing. Prosecutors dismissed charges of simple assault and institutional vandalism against Malone.

According to the criminal complaints:

Edwardsville and Kingston police were investigating a disturbance of several people outside Michael’s Bar on Main Street on Oct. 10.

Malone screamed obscenities at police, and kicked a window out of a police cruiser. Mosher pushed several officers while they were struggling with Malone, and fought with officers inside the Kingston Police Department, the criminal complaints say.

WILKES-BARRE – Assault charges were dismissed against a Wilkes-Barre man who was accused of spraying mace in the eyes of a man during a dispute on South Maple Avenue, Kingston, on Oct. 8.

Prosecutors dismissed simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct charges against Richard R. Wojcik, 20, of East View Drive, during a preliminary hearing in Central Court on Wednesday.

According to the criminal complaint:

David Pearce told police he was waiting outside his South Maple Avenue home for his ex-girlfriend, Heidi Alwill, who wanted to remove her belongings from his residence. Alwill drove past Pearce’s home with Wojcik sitting in her vehicle’s passenger seat.

Pearce approached her car when Wojcik sprayed mace in his face, the criminal complaint says.
