Students at Dana Elementary Center sponsored ‘Dana Dollar Days' during the month of October in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness month. Each student was asked to bring in two or four dollars to purchase a breast cancer awareness ink pen to raise money to support the Northeast chapter of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Through the students' efforts, the school raised $ 1,448. Some of the participants, from left, first row, are Ava Pearson, Amanda Kavinski, Cohen Cobb and Tyler Lavergne. Second row: William Smith, Allison Ahrens, Joel Smith and Kyerston Edwards. Third row: Anastasia Sims, Breanna Spellman, Adam Bassett and Tyler Valenti. Fourth row: David Novrocki, principal; Janet Cussatt, aide; Maylan Nicholson, guidance; and Dolly Woody, executive director, Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
