WILKES-BARRE -- While Democratic leaders and delegates from across the country are gathered in Charlotte, N.C. for the Democratic National Convention on Thursday night, Organizing for America Pennsylvania volunteers will gather in homes, restaurants, campaign field offices and community centers to watch President Barack Obama accept the Democratic nomination.
At the Wilkes-Barre OFA PA field office, 70 N. Main St., before the presidentâ??s speech, volunteers will also host a phone bank to contact their neighbors, talk about what is at stake in this election and continue to grow the president's grassroots organization.
Then those gathered will watch Obama's speech.
The night's events start at 8.
