KINGSLEY — MMI Prep got a big boost off the bench from Maurina DiSabella, who helped rally the Preppers past Mountain View 3-2 on Thursday in a District 2 Class A girls volleyball tournament opener.

The Preppers dropped a tough decision in Game 3 but fought off elimination in the next two to take down the host Eagles.

MMI advances to Tuesday's pool play at Dunmore, facing the top-seeded Bucks.
