PHILADELPHIA — Philadelphia police have arrested one of two brothers wanted in connection with a shooting on board an elevated train that allegedly happened following an argument between basketball fans.
Authorities say 16-year-old Eric Early was detained Monday morning and is charged with aggravated assault and related offenses. Police are still trying to track down his 18-year-old brother, Matthew, in the shooting, which happened last week on the Market-Frankford Line.
Investigators say the brothers got into an argument with a Chicago Bulls fan and then Matthew Early fired through the car's open doors after exiting the train. The Bulls fan and another man were wounded by the bullet.
The Bulls had defeated the Philadelphia 76ers earlier in the night.
A telephone listing for Eric Early could not immediately be found.
