HAZLETON- Just two days ago, Delaware Valley quarterback Bryan Schor committed to play his college football at Miami of Ohio. Friday night, he looked every part of a Division I quarterback. Schor torched the Hazleton Area secondary for 251 yards and four touchdown passes while completing 12 of 13 attempts, as the Warriors rolled to a 49-12 victory.

"I don't think any of our kids quit," Hazleton Area coach Jim Drumheller said. "I was worried about Schor and what he could do back there. When you have a passing attack like this in high school, it just does a number on you. When teams are driving the ball on you, you kind of feel defenseless. (Schor) has some weapons out there. They're clicking, and they made some big plays."

Drumheller's concerns about the Delaware Valley aerial attack were well-founded. The Warriors scored on each of their first five possessions and moved the ball at will against an outmatched Cougar defense. Schor and his offense needed just 20 snaps to put 35 points on the board. The senior threw touchdown passes to four different wide receivers. The Warriors' only blemish was a missed 37-yard field goal on the final play of the first half.

Delaware Valley (3-0) got on the scoreboard early when Joe Santiago crossed the goal-line on a 4-yard run. Just over three minutes later, Schor would deliver a perfect pass to Eric Pizarro, hitting him in stride on a 42-yard touchdown pass. Ryan McGowan would push the lead to 21-0 when he scored on a 1-yard run. Schor would connect with Lucas Markowitz and McGowan on touchdown passes of 38 and 14 yards respectively in the second quarter. He would cap off his big night by delivering another strike to Nick McIntyre, who got behind the Hazleton Area secondary for a 48-yard touchdown pass before being taken out early in the third quarter.

"It's pretty much what he's been doing the whole season for us, regardless of who we're playing," Delaware Valley coach Keith Olsommer said of Schor. "He's playing like a four-year starter should play. He's a talented kid who is living up to some of those expectations. The guys on the outside are doing a heck of a job going and getting the ball."

Hazleton Area (0-3) did find a silver lining to an otherwise dreary night in the third quarter. Nick George's 13-yard touchdown run gave the Cougars their first points of the season against Delaware Valley's second-team defense. George was a bright spot, rushing for 88 yards on 14 carries.

"I thought it was very important for team morale," Drumheller said of the touchdown. "Nick George just had a big game for us running the ball. What we're trying to do at that point is just get a confidence booster and get the morale up on this football team."

The teams exchanged touchdowns in the fourth quarter. Hazleton Area's Zach Zukoski would close out the game's scoring, as he plunged into the end zone from 4-yards out midway through the final period.
