Edward Ruben Kimble, 89, of Tunkhannock, died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, in the Community Medical Center in Scranton.
He was born in Clarks Summit on Feb. 6, 1923, a son of the late Lee B. and Myrtle Kettle Kimble. Edward served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Prior to his retirement, he was executive vice president of Tasty Baking Co. (Tastykake). He was a loving husband and the greatest grandpa.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Helen Cimoch Kimble, and a daughter, Martha Sears. Surviving are sons, Edward R. Kimble, Tunkhannock; James L. Kimble, Glenolden, Pa.; Thomas Fromanger, Mississauga, Canada; grandchildren, Ryan and Kimberly Kimble, Hampton, Va.; Nicole Cassidy and Mark Kilroy, Prospect Park, Pa.; Louis Fromanger of Mississauga, Canada; three great-grandchildren, Aiden Michael Kimble, 7; Mikaela Aileen Kilroy, 3; and Andrea Claire Kilroy, 9 months. Also loved in his heart were Billy Kapinski and Kimberly Fiscus. Special thanks to longtime family friend, Lee Morrison, Havertown, Pa.
No services will be held, per Edward's request. He will be missed dearly by family and friends. He was read his last rites and anointed by a Catholic priest as he was led to heaven by angels.
