Emerald Isle Step Dancers garner awards

Students from the Emerald Isle Step Dancers, Pittston, recently participated in the Connemara Harvest Feis at Split Rock Resort, Lake Harmony, and the Mist of Ireland Feis in Smithville, N.J. The dancers won 66 awards, with 51 in the top three. Award winners are: Beginners: Sofia Quaglia, Abigail Gaffney, Rosey Kelly, Cecelia Otis, Morgan Slusser and Melissa Gunshannon. Advanced Beginners: Kaitlyn Slusser, Campbell Kelly, Emily Woss, Serena Walsh, Kathryn Roberts and Maddy McAnney. Intermediate: Riley Orr, Rachel Kon, Brianna Jenkins and Emma Otis. Novice: Victoria Nealon and Miranda Warunek. Freestyle Group: Diane Blakeslee, Mary Lou Butler, Donna Gattuso, Lynn Gionta, Melissa Gunshannon, Dorothy Jenkins, Stephanie Marino, Mary Moga, Cathy Otis, Ashley Piontek, Elaine Piontek, Jennifer Racho, Paula Siegel and Patricia Warunek. Also competing in the freestyle group category were Jillian Dunn, Gabrielle Gattuso, Sarah Remakus and Meagan Williams.
