FAIRVIEW TWP. - A husband and wife were flown to a local hospital early this morning after a fire ripped through their home.
Dave Hourigan, president of the Mountain Top Hose Company, said several crews from local fire departments were called to the Pine Lane home around 7:45 a.m. today.
He did not identify the homeowners.
Hourigan said the fire was contained to a bedroom in the home and extinguished quickly.
The man and woman were flown to the burn center at Lehigh Valley Hospital for treatment.
The couple has two teenage children who were not home at the time of the fire.
A state police fire marshal was on scene today to investigate the cause of the fire.
