Miss Emily Sarah Fischbein and Mr. Gregory Piazza were united in marriage on Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012, at half past eleven in the morning at East Mountain Inn and Suites in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. The ceremony was officiated by Judge Ronald Swank.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Richard Fischbein, Harveys Lake, Pa. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wishart, Presque Isle, Maine, and Mrs. Sylvia Fischbein and the late Attorney Alvin Fischbein, Pittstown, Pa.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Piazza, Shavertown, Pa. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Norman Wildoner, Plymouth, Pa., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Piazza, Luzerne, Pa.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father down the aisle. Her maid of honor was her sister, Rachel Fischbein.
The groom chose his brother, Douglas Piazza, to be his best man.
Emily is a 2003 graduate of MMI Preparatory School, Freeland, and a 2007 graduate of Wilkes University with a bachelor's degree in elementary education, early childhood and English as a Second Language. She also earned a master's degree from Wilkes University in educational development and strategies in 2009.
Gregory is a 2002 graduate of Lake-Lehman School District and a 2006 graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor's degree in music education. He then enlisted in the United States Marine Corps from 2007-2011. He is now attending Arizona State University pursuing a master's degree in clarinet performance.
The couple honeymooned in Freeport, Bahamas, in December, 2012. They reside in Tempe, Arizona.
