WILKES-BARRE - The flood gates are in place on the Waller Street bridge over Solomon Creek in anticipation of predicted heavy rains later today.
The Susquehanna River is expected to crest at 1 p.m. Friday at 22.2 feet, according to the National Weather Service.
At 22 feet lowland areas in Plainsville, Plymouth Flats, West Nanticoke and Shickshinny flood.
