The local Foster Grandparent Program (FGP) recently held its 40th annual recognition luncheon at the Genetti Hotel and Conference Center in Wilkes-Barre. Keynote speaker was Susan Dinofrio, executive director, Child Development Council and member, FGP Advisory Council. The theme of this year's luncheon was ‘Foster Grandparents: Rare as Rubies.' Special awards were presented to individuals who have served for five, 10, 15 and 20 years. The program is recruiting new members.
