KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia — Robert Garrigus shot a 7-under 64 on Friday to take a two-stroke lead over Jbe' Kruger, the South African who upstaged Tiger Woods in their second-round pairing at the CIMB Classic.
Garrigus was at 14-under 128. The American left his par putt just short on the 18th hole for his only bogey of the round.
Kruger, playing his first competitive round with Woods, pumped his right arm after each of his eight birdies in a 64 in soggy conditions at The Mines.
Troy Matteson and Australia's Greg Chalmers were 10 under. Troy Matteson followed his opening 63 with 69, and Chalmers had a 66. Woods shot a 67 to join Kevin Na and Zimbabwe's Brendon De Jonge at 9 under. Na had a 66, and De Jonge shot 65.
SAN ANTONIO — Mark Calcavecchia shot a 5-under 67 to take a two-stroke lead over Kenny Perry in the suspended first round of the Champions Tour's AT&T Championship.
Thirty-three of the 80 players were unable to complete the round because of darkness. The round started on time, but play was delayed 3 hours, 18 minutes when a rain storm blew through with lightning and strong wind gusts. The temperature dropped as low as 48 degrees.
Perry was 3 under with three holes left when play was suspended on TPC San Antonio's Canyons Course.
McKINNEY, Texas — Justin Hicks shot a 2-under 69 in breezy and cold conditions to take a two-stroke after the second round of the Web.com Tour Championship.
The top 60 on the money list qualified for the season-ending event at TPC Craig Ranch, and the final top 25 will earn 2013 PGA Tour cards. At 11th on the money list, Hicks has already wrapped up a tour card.
