Greater Pittston AmVets Post 189 recently held its annual family picnic at the Plains Pavilion in Plains Township. Veterans from the Gino Merli Veterans Center were guests of honor. The fun-filled day included award presentations and live entertainment and was attended by many state and local commanders of the AmVets organization.
