Gunmen rob Wendy's in WB Twp.

WILKES-BARRE TWP. - Two gunmen robbed the Wendyâ??s fast food restaurant on Schecter Drive early Saturday morning and forced employees into a freezer, police said.
Two employees were taking out the trash around 1 a.m. when two men wearing ski masks and brandishing handguns approached, police said. The gunmen forced the employees into the restaurant and made the manager empty the safe. The gunmen took the employeesâ?? cell phones and wallets before placing them in a walk-in freezer and blocking the door. The managerâ??s car also was stolen during the robbery and later recovered near the Wendyâ??s restaurant at the Pilot Truck Stop on state Route 315 in Pittston Township. Police said one of the handguns was recovered in the car.
