7 p.m. today
The Coaches: Hanover Area's Ron Hummer (34-26, 7th year); Wyoming Area's Randy Spencer (22-24, 5th year)
Last Meeting: Wyoming Area 48-0 in 2011
All-Time Series: Wyoming Area leads 25-9
Quick Fact: Last year's 48-0 victory by Wyoming Area was its biggest margin of victory in series since 1997 when the Warriors won 61-7.
Scouting Hanover Area: After being overwhelmed early in its first two games, Hanover Area hung tough with a solid Lakeland squad before falling 34-15. Surrendering big plays, though, was costly once again for the Hawkeyes.
Offensively, RB Brian Belcher rushed for a career-high 142 yards, including TD runs of 45 and 24 yards. Freshman QB Casey O'Mack also had his best game as the unit eclipsed 300 yards for the first time this season.
Scouting Wyoming Area: The Warriors looked like they were going to establish themselves as the WVC's premier Class 2A team last Friday … until the fourth quarter. They allowed Lake-Lehman to rally with 15 points – including a touchdown and two-point conversion with 24 seconds left – to fall 15-14.
QB/RB Nick O'Brien was held to 84 yards on the ground, his lowest total in his last seven regular-season contests. The Warriors scored 43 or more points seven times last season, but have a total of 54 this year.
What To Expect: Wyoming Area should be able to get back on track against a young Hanover Area team.
