Holy Redeemer names homecoming court

Holy Redeemer High School concluded a week of homecoming activities with the announcement of its Royal Homecoming Court and the crowning of the king and queen. Kayla Rhiel, Luzerne, and Patrick Loftus, Mountain Top, were named queen and king during a pep rally held the night before the homecoming game. The king and queen and the rest of the Royal Court were recognized during the football game. All court members were nominated and elected by members of the senior class. The announcement of the court capped a week of activities for Spirit Week. Members of the Royal Court, from left, are: Meghan Burns, Wilkes-Barre; Mathijs Arts-Wilhelmus, Nanticoke; Bethany Chmil, Hanover Township; Krzysztof Bozentka, Kingston; Beth DeMichele, Wilkes-Barre; Shane Flannery, Wilkes-Barre; Devon Philips, representing the Royal Court of 2011; Rhiel; Loftus; Zach Evans, 2011 Homecoming King; Cornelia Chmil, Hanover Township; Eric Gdovin, Kingston; Danielle Gorski, Wilkes-Barre; Matthew Kotulak, Nanticoke; Sydney Smith, Kingston; and Ennio Mancuso, Nanticoke.
