WILKES-BARRE -- City and state police along with the U.S. Marshal Service from Pennsylvania, and New York/New Jersey, are searching for a homicide suspect from Staten Island, N.Y.

A Marshal tells the Times Leader that they're looking for Adam Kamagate, 25, who is wanted for allegedly shooting Justin Stokes, 21, to death on May 5 in Mariners Harbor, N.Y.

According to police, Kamagate is known to frequent Hanover Village Apartments and is 6 feet tall and weighing 200 pounds. They were in the county back in June searching for him but came up empty handed.

Authorities stopped a man in the parking lot of the Curry Donuts on South Pennsylvania Boulevard just across from Holy Redeemer High School this morning.

After the search, armed authorities stormed an apartment at Scott and Mundy streets where they detained a woman in handcuffs and took her away in a city patrol car.

It was unclear what role either person played in the search.
