Honors and Awards

James F. Mundy, a partner in Powell Law, was recently honored by the Pennsylvania Association for Justice with its Distinguished Service Award for his leadership in helping to shape state auto insurance law and preserve the rights of injured motorists.

Halibut Blue Advertising, Forty Fort, was a recipient of a 2012 SAGE Award for best practices in marketing and communications by The Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce and MetroAction. The SAGE Awards are chosen from more than 100 applications submitted by businesses across Northeastern Pennsylvania.

Dr. David Kyle Johnson, associate professor of philosophy at King's College, was among five winners of The American Philosophical Association Op-Ed Contest for the best op-eds published by philosophers in 201 1. Johnson's op-ed, Watson in Philosophical Jeopardy, illustrated the value of philosophical thinking.
