DALLAS: Lakeside Health and Rehabilitation Center, 245 Old Lake Road, is hosting a butterfly release at 2:30 p.m. today. The event has 50 sponsorships. Proceeds benefit the center's Resident Activity Fund. For more information call Lorraine at 639-1885.


LARKSVILLE: First Friday Group, Assumpta Council 3987, Knights of Columbus will gather at the Church of St. John at 8:30 a.m. on Friday. A Mass will take place at 9 a.m. Breakfast will be at The Grille Restaurant in the Luzerne Shopping Center. Reservations can be made by calling Chet Daniels at 696-2096.


MOUNTAIN TOP: The Mountain Post American Legion Auxiliary Unit 781 will resume meetings at 7 tonight for the executive committee and 7:30 p.m. for the regular meeting. All members are urged to attend and new members are welcome. For more information call Casey Eigenbrod at 885-2519.


NANTICOKE: Luzerne County Community College is holding a September 11 remembrance ceremony at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the college's Walk of Honor at the Regional Public Safety Training Center. The event is free to the public.
