HANOVER TWP.: The Lady Hawks Basketball Booster Club is sponsoring a craft fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 28 at the Hanover Area Junior/Senior High School, 1600 Sans Souci Parkway.
KINGSTON: The General Federation of Women's Clubs West-Side will meet at 7 p.m. on Monday at Kingston Manor, 250 First Ave.
Ina Lubin from Ollie's Restaurant will present information on the Dinner 4 Kids Program. The first fundraiser for the year is under way and Revello's Pizza orders are due at this meeting.
Interested members are asked to meet at 5:55 p.m. for a pre-meeting walk along the river.
NANTICOKE: The Northeast Greenhouse Growers Seminar will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Nov. 8 at the Luzerne County Community College Conference Center. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.
Presentations will include: Top Disease Problems of 2012 including Downy Mildew by Tracey Olson from the Pennsylvania Deptartment of Agriculture; Managing the Insects that are Bugging You by Joann Lutz from Griffin Greenhouse and Nursery Supply; Choosing the Best Soil Media by Rob Berghage from Penn State Horticulture; Production Cost: buy or grow plugs; pre-finish or grow yourself by Rob Berghage; Grower Update by Rick Malak from the Pennsylvania Deptartment of Agriculture; New Plants and a Few New Ideas by Ken Day from Hutchinson Horticultural Distributors; and What You Need to Know about Spray Adjuvants by John Esslinger from Penn State Extension.
Commercial exhibitors will also be available with the latest industry updates. Pesticide applicator re-certification credits will be available.
The registration cost is $20 per person, if received by Oct. 30, and includes morning refreshments and lunch. Cost is $30 after Oct. 30 or at the door.

PLYMOUTH: The Plymouth Cambrian Club will meet at 7 p.m. on Monday at the First Welsh Baptist Church. President Megan Wakowiak will preside. Hostesses are the Rev. Anita J. Ambrose, Betty Jones and Terri Cease.
The board meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Pictures from the Welsh Festival will be shown. Members are reminded to attend to discuss the Christmas banquet. New members welcome.
