FORTY FORT: Wyoming Seminary Lower School is holding an early childhood overview from 9-11 a.m. on Dec. 1 at the school's new Early Childhood Learning Center, 20 Arlington Road, Forty Fort, adjacent to the Lower School campus, 1560 Wyoming Avenue.

Families may tour toddler, preschool, pre-kindergarten and kindergarten classrooms and will have the opportunity to speak with the dean of the Lower School, teachers and admission staff about the early childhood program. Applications are accepted up to one year in advance of entry. The school will maintain waiting pools when necessary for all programs.

NANTICOKE: The Greater Nanticoke Area High School Guidance Office is hosting a free financial aid night at 6 p.m. on Nov. 29 in the high school cafeteria. High school juniors and seniors and their parents are encouraged to attend.

Linda Pacewicz, PHEAA representative, and Bill Hischak, high school counselor, will be available to provide information and answer questions.

Parents and students will learn how to apply for all types of financial aid, including completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which is required to qualify for most student aid programs including the Pennsylvania State Grant, Federal Pell Grant, institutional awards and low-cost federal student and parent loans.
