KINGSTON: The Hoyt Library, 284 Wyoming Ave., is sponsoring a Mystery Crime Teen Workshop, presented by Lauren Stahl, a former prosecutor and avid reader and writer of the crime fiction genre, from 6-7:15 p.m. on Jan. 10, 17, 24 and 31. The final class on Jan. 31 will consist of an open microphone night, where participants of the workshop will be able to share their mystery stories.


The workshop is open to teens ages 13-17. Participants should be prepared to attend all classes and bring a journal or notebook, pens, paper or laptop.


Stahl is a graduate of Pennsylvania State Dickinson School of Law and earned her MFA from Wilkes University. Her first novel, Deadly Conviction, is represented by Union Literary in New York with the hopes of reaching publication. She is hard at work on her second novel, The Bottom Line.
