PITTSTON: The Pittston Memorial Library, 47 Broad St., is now participating in the CEO Afterschool Meals Program. Dinners will be served from 4-5 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays and snacks will be served from 4-5 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. There is no cost for this program and registration in not required.


The library is also starting a program for grandparents who are raising their grandchildren. Grandparents are asked to contact the library with their concerns and issues. A questionnaire is available to help organize the program. Contact the library at 654-9565.


WYOMING VALLEY: The Pi Beta Gamma Club of Wyoming Valley recently held its Christmas party at the Wyoming Valley Country Club. Arrangements for the party were made by Diane Pelczar, chairperson. Sandra Najaka, Ruth Sorber and Susan Najaka were also on the committee.


Prizes, including Christmas tree centerpieces, were won by Susan Najaka, Sandra Margavage, Rita Galat, Frances Brunozzi, Patty Clinton, Jane Straub, Marcia Knorr and Tara Senape.


The club's next meeting will take place in April.


The club's 85th anniversary will take place in June. Members, past and present, are invited to this celebration. Contact Susan at 736-6304 for reservations or information.
