DALLAS: Cougar Radio, Misericordia University's student run radio station, is accepting music from local bands in the Northeastern Pennsylvania area for its second annual Cougar Indie-Pendence CD.

Bands can submit one original track to be considered for the CD.

Entries can be made by submitting the track on a CD and mailing it to Cougar Indie-Pendence, c/o Cougar Radio, 301 Lake St., Dallas, PA, 18612. Deadline for submissions is Feb 14. The CD will be released in the spring.

WEST WYOMING: The Wyoming Area Music Sponsors are hosting a fifties sock hop from 8 p.m. to midnight on Saturday at the West Wyoming Hose Company. This is a BYOB event for those 21 years and older. Light refreshments will be served and music will be provided by MAJIK. All proceeds benefit Wyoming Area music students. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.
