EXETER: Aerobic Lifestyle, 918 Exeter Ave., Route 92, is holding a February SPCA fundraiser. Owner Cheryl Milefsky is accepting donations of supplies for the entire month. Participants will receive a one-week membership to Aerobic Lifestyle.
The SPCA will welcome donations of dog food, cat food, cat beds, bleach, dishwashing detergent, laundry detergent, towels, blankets and any pet supplies.
KINGSTON: Wyoming Valley West School District will conduct kindergarten registration for the 2013-2014 school year during the months of February and March. Children must be five years of age on or before Sept. 1 to register for kindergarten. First-grade entrants must be six years of age on or before Sept. 1.
Parents may access the registration site 24 hours a day at www.wvwspartans.org. If computer access is not available, call the central office at 288-6551 ext. 10602 to set up an appointment to use a district computer.
At the end of the on-line registration process, applicants will be prompted to make an appointment with the registrar. The child's birth certificate, immunization records and proof of residency will be required at the meeting with the registrar.
Parents will be notified of a date for the kindergarten screening process in April. Areas covered during the process include vision, hearing, education, gross motor control and immunization/health history.
MOUNTAIN TOP: The Marian Sutherland Kirby Library is holding a fundraiser from 4 p.m. to close on Feb. 17 at Damenti's Ice Bar, behind Damenti's Restaurant, Route 309.
The public is invited to view the ice bar carved by nationally acclaimed artists. Proceeds from the event will benefit the library. There is no charge for admission.
Customers who bring a book to donate will receive a coupon for a free drink inside the restaurant.
