HAZLETON: The Helping Hands Society is holding its annual Diamond Drop dinner dance from 6-11 p.m. on Sunday at the Best Western Genetti Inn and Suites, Church Street, Hazleton. Tickets are $40 and include two drink tickets, a dinner featuring chicken Kiev, dancing to the band Y.M.I. and the diamond drop.

Diamond sponsor, Howard's Jewelers, donated an $8,000 diamond necklace and earring set from Spark Creations. Other prizes include gift certificates.

Tickets can be purchased at Howard's Jewelers in the Laurel Mall or at the Helping Hands office, 301 Rocky Road and South Poplar Street. Deadline to order is Wednesday. For more information, call 455-4958 or visit the Helping Hands Facebook page.

All proceeds will go to the educational and therapeutic services for the special needs and typical children of Helping Hands, which serves the Luzerne, Carbon and Schuylkill counties.
