KINGSTON: Jennifer L. Severini-Kresock, private career and college counselor of the NEPA Career and College Counseling Associates-Excellence in Career and College Preparation, will present a workshop to help students who are preparing for the SAT and ACT tests from 1:30-3 p.m. on Saturday in the Community Room of the Hoyt Library, 284 Wyoming Avenue. The program was scheduled for a different time, but was changed to accommodate more students.


The workshop will contain helpful tips on how to survive the tests and preparation strategies for taking the tests.


Parents and students are invited to the free workshops.


Other workshops scheduled at the library are: March 16, Career and College Counseling 101; April 13, Best Fit College Workshop; and April 27, Financial Aid Presentation. All workshops will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.


Registrations are not required for any of the workshops, but are highly recommended as seating is limited.

WILKES-BARRE: The Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary will meet at 1 p.m. on Monday at the Wilkes-Barre Corps, 17 S. Pennsylvania Ave.


The speaker will be Captain Donna McCullough from divisional headquarters. A devotion will be given by Effie Ann Metcalf. Hostesses for the month are Eileen Davis, Anne Gerrity and Audrey Milford. Attendees should bring a snack food item, such as cookies and crackers, for the canteen.

WILKES-BARRE: The 77th annual Heights Father and Son St. David's Banquet will take place at 6 p.m. on Friday at the First Welsh Presbyterian Church, East Northampton and South Meade streets. Guest speaker is radio personality, David DeCosmo.


Tickets are available from any member of the St. David's Society of Wyoming Valley Inc.
