Chiefs
QB Quinn admits to playing with concussion at Oakland

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Chiefs quarterback Brady Quinn says he tried to play through a head injury sustained two weeks ago against Oakland, and admitted that's my fault for not being smart about it.

Quinn was speaking Wednesday for the first time since sustaining the injury Oct. 28.

He remembers taking a knee to the back of the helmet during a scramble early in the game, but he never saw the Raiders' Rolando McClain when he got sacked on the next play, and Quinn recalled having tunnel vision when he threw an ensuing interception.

Quinn also acknowledged sustaining a concussion in a preseason game against Green Bay. That one cleared up quickly, he said, but the latest concussion has been lingering more.

Quinn has already been ruled out for Kansas City's game Monday night at Pittsburgh. It will be the second straight game he's missed since becoming the starting quarterback.

Bears
Top CB Tillman might miss game for daughter's birth

LAKE FOREST, Ill. — Chicago Bears star cornerback Charles Tillman might miss Sunday's game against the Houston Texans because of the birth of his daughter.

Tillman tells Chicago radio station WSCR-AM that he might not be available because his wife, Jackie, is due to give birth to a girl. She will be the couple's fourth child. Their daughter, Tiana, needed a heart transplant after she was born in 2008.

Tillman says if the baby is born Sunday, I think I'm going to have to be at the hospital.

Tillman is making a case for defensive player of the year, and he forced four fumbles last Sunday at Tennessee. His teammates on the NFC North leaders expressed their support for him before practice on Wednesday. Tillman was not available for comment.

Seahawks-Jets
Trufant brothers taking over CenturyLink Field

SEATTLE — Marcus Trufant has played in a Super Bowl and a Pro Bowl, and is now in his 10th season with his hometown team.

Yet for all those experiences, one of the most special moments in his football career with the Seattle Seahawks will come this weekend when he takes the field against his younger brother Isaiah of the New York Jets, and after youngest brother Desmond, a senior at Washington, plays on the same field the night before.

Three brothers, all playing the same position, two of which are already in the NFL with a third very likely to join the professional ranks next season.

And this weekend, all three will take their places on the turf at CenturyLink Field in a span of less than 24 hours.

Television
Packers-Giants showdown remains on Sunday night

NEW YORK — The Green Bay Packers' game at the New York Giants will remain on Sunday night Nov. 25.

The NFL announced its flexible scheduling decision Wednesday, almost a week earlier than required, to allow fans and teams to complete travel plans for Thanksgiving weekend

Starting in Week 11, the league can move a more appealing matchup into prime time if need be. But NBC is happy to keep a game involving the last two Super Bowl champions, with the Packers and Giants both currently 6-3.
