Study finds Hazleton General among The Healthgrades America's 100 Best Hospitals For Pulmonary Care
Pulmonary care at Hazleton General Hospital is in the top 5 percent of the nation and was named America's 100 Best Hospitals for Pulmonary Care, according to a report from Healthgrades, the leading provider of information to help consumers make an informed decision about a physician or hospital.
Hazleton General Hospital also ranks No. 5 in Pennsylvania.
The report, American Hospital Quality Outcomes 2013: Healthgrades Report to the Nation, evaluates how approximately 4,500 hospitals nationwide performed on risk-adjusted mortality and complication rates for nearly 30 of the most common conditions treated and procedures performed from 2009 through 2011.
Introduction to Zen meditation will be held from 7:30-9 p.m. Nov. 27 at Mercy Center on the campus of Misericordia University.
The program will include an explanation of Zen meditation and the value of the practice, a short practice period and time for questions.
Pre-registration is required. A free-will offering will be taken.
